It's a good idea to keep your signature, if you have one, short or spoilered.
Don't forget to use your enter key. Walls of text are hard to read, paragraphs are much easier.
If you use coloured text for dialogue, or anything for that matter, use one that is easy on the eyes. (Some rp sites have designated colours for certain languages, not sure if that's the case here)
When creating a character try to think ahead. Also if you're joining a party find out what classes they have, read their character sheets. Making a character that compliments your party will make rping more fun.
Healers do kill stuff and are often the most popular member of a party, not to mention the most powerful (eventually). So don't be scared afraid to give a healing class a shot.
Try to use PM instead of clogging up your rp thread with too much OOC
